Finally…
The Day Has Arrived! ☆
I was actually planning to go to Puroland in this January, but Kogame (my little one) got sick…
I was casually browsing the Puroland website thinking about rescheduling when I found it.
Cinnamoroll’s Birthday Event!! (Kogame’s absolute favorite!)
As soon as I told Kogame, my baby immediately requested to wait on the Puroland trip so we could celebrate his fave’s birth!

So, we went!
Of course, I had already secured the tickets for the birthday event in advance!
Prologue: The Mom Who’s Always Sick (Feel free to skip this part lol)
My friend secured the tickets for the Birthday Live, so I knew I had to plan the day perfectly!
Or so I thought…
Then came the pollen (so painful).
Or so I thought.
Wait, this feels different from pollen?
The mucus running from my nose actually has color!! (゜□゜)
I had a migraine too, but I figured I could just ignore it… except this weekend was the unmissable Cinnamoroll Birthday Event.
So, I rushed to the doctor.
The result: Rhinitis.
Rhinitis…?
I knew it wasn’t pollen, but I hear that word all the time.
What is rhinitis exactly? (゜▽゜)
According to the doctor, the back of my nose was hit by a virus, and it was basically a constant stream of pus.
Now that you mention it, it did feel that way…
From there, my health stayed shaky, but I managed to recover two days before the trip.
Because I put all my energy into recovering, I couldn’t make a meticulous “Christmas Eve-style” plan this time.
Also, since I was concentrating a lot of financial resources on Cinnamoroll’s Birthday Live…
You could say I didn’t have much freedom to make a plan anyway lol.
The Day’s Action Timetable
Once again, here is the minute-by-minute rundown of our actual day (lol).
- 7:40+ AM: Arrived at Tama-Center Station.
- 7:40–7:50: Took photos of Kogame at the newly renovated Odakyu Tama-Center Station.
- 7:50–8:00: A leisurely walk to the park.
- 8:00–8:10: Surprisingly, I was starving, so we grabbed breakfast at McDonald’s on the way.

For some reason, my rhinitis meds make me incredibly hungry…
It was getting dangerous, so McDonald’s it was.
- 8:10–8:30: Waiting in line to enter.

Even though it was earlier than Christmas Eve, the line was just as long.
- 8:30–8:51: Waiting for entry.
- 8:51–9:00: Grabbed free character greeting tickets while lining up for the “Happy Celebration Party ~Doki Waku Kyun♡ Happy☆Day~”.
Pro-tip: Staff hold QR codes at the entrance, and everyone stops there to scan them…

but that gets crowded!
Grab the flyer from the rack nearby and get your greeting tickets while moving!

It’s convenient because you can check it later while moving too.
※Only works on Puroland Wi-Fi.
I had connected to the Puroland Wi-Fi last time, so I assumed it would connect automatically this time—but it didn’t…
Do I really have to manually connect every single time?
- At this point, I secured: Kiki (10:30), Lala (11:30), Pompompurin (12:30), and Kuromi (13:00).
※Cinnamoroll was already gone at this time.
Since I had two phones and my friend had two, we took four…
But since there were only three of us, that was a rule violation.
My bad ( ;∀;)

You’re supposed to get one per person.
(Once you finish a greeting, you can obtain another ticket for the next one.)
- 9:00–9:30: “Happy Celebration Party” Show & High-Fives.
I missed this on Christmas Eve, but I learned that kids can high-five the characters at the end for free.
Kogame said he wanted to go, so we waited in the viewing area.
But wow, it was crowded for a weekend.
The host called for “friends who want to dance to come to the stage,” but there was no path to get there!

Kogame is shy, so he initially said he wouldn’t go, but then changed his mind.
I had to lead him to where the staff could guide him.
It’s hard for kids to leave their parents, so I recommend getting front-row seats if possible.
The high-five part is also a “battle”—one parent to take photos, one to catch the kid at the exit.
- 9:30–9:50: “Cinnamoroll’s Little Adventure” Ride.

Wait time was only 10 mins.
This ride usually isn’t a long wait, so if you’re not a Cinnamoroll fan, any time is fine.
- 9:50–10:08: Popcorn & Getting a ticket for “Yakata Restaurant”.

You can get a number 1 hour before opening.
I wanted a later time due to greetings, but I was already number 104!

On Christmas Eve at the same time, I was number 46. Weekends are different…
- 10:08–10:28: Browsing the Entrance Shop.

Since the Birthday Live is at the end of the day, there’s no time to shop then.
I got some light souvenirs for family and friends.
I wasn’t feeling a huge “spark” for anything specific this time, so it was a chill shopping trip.
- 10:28: Free Character Greeting tickets distribution finished.

By the time I saw the sign, they were all gone.

Weekends are a battle!
You have to plan your whole day the moment you get that first ticket.
- 10:30–10:55: Lala Greeting.
Even if your ticket says 10:30, you can line up earlier.
I want to use this more efficiently next time!
- (Popular characters still mean a 30-min wait even with a ticket).

Lala was so shy and cute!
Also, I confirmed with staff that you can hold tickets for multiple characters in the same time slot.

I had avoided doing that, but it’s actually a time-saver!
- 10:57: Confirmed distribution ended on screen.

Since Lala’s greeting was over, I could have grabbed another ticket if there were any left, but…

No more tickets left at that time.
- 11:00–11:15: “Kiki & Lala Twinkling Studio”.

Doesn’t usually have a long line.
We went because Kogame wanted to (lol).
- 11:17: Making Name Stickers.

The stickers in the arcade section.
We did this three times last time…
Doesn’t Kogame need more, does he?
I made some for her friends as souvenirs instead.
- 11:27–11:40: Kiki Greeting.
I missed out on Kiki & Lala last time, so I was really hoping to see them this around… but no luck again!
Last time was their birthday, so I guess they were just super popular (tickets were already gone by the time I got in).
It seems like the boy characters don’t usually have as much of a wait… maybe?
If I had known that, I should’ve grabbed my timed entry ticket a bit later.
Lesson learned!

Kiki was the opposite of Lala—super energetic fan service for me and my friend!
I love him.
- 11:47: Making Name Stickers again.
- 11:47–12:25: Entrance Shop again.

Forgot something!
- 12:27–12:35: Pompompurin Greeting.
- 12:45–1:55??: Yakata Restaurant.

At the Yakata Restaurant, you can meet some characters while you dine!
The calling number was 108, so we headed there.
There was no one in the “already called” line, so we were seated immediately!(The thing is, Yakata Restaurant closes at 2:30 PM… )
A happy surprise.
Then… Cinnamoroll and Daniel appeared! (12:59pm).

Everyone was thrilled.
Kogame was thrilled.
But we had a Kuromi greeting at 1:00, so I left my friend at the restaurant and dashed to the greeting hall…
But Kuromi is so popular.
It looked like a 30+ min wait.
My friend texted that Keroppi and Osaru no Monkichi arrived at the restaurant (1:31pm).
Total nostalgic line-up for a Millennial mom!
Kogame wanted to go back to the restaurant, so we ditched Kuromi and dashed back.

Going from the 1st floor to the 4th floor over and over is just painful.
Puroland is hard on the legs! (lol).
Kogame was hoping for more characters. “Who’s next?” he asked.
I told him we probably wouldn’t see more, but then…
My Melody and Pompompurin! (1:39pm).

Kogame tried hard to show them his plushies, but they didn’t notice.
Then, a kind lady behind Kogame pointed her out to them!
My Melody gave him fan service, and so did Pompom!
I was more touched by the kind lady than the characters.
Sanrio is such a gentle world.
Finally, as we were leaving… Pekkle and Mimmy! (2:06pm).

A kid shouted “Kitty-chan!” at Mimmy, and Pekkle did a “No, no, shhh!” pose which was hilarious.
We met 8 characters total!
- 2:20–3:00: “The Quest of Wonders Parade” Waiting.

I forgot the leisure sheet again… I’m hopeless. Next time!! Without a sheet, people keep encroaching on your space.
- 3:00–3:30: Parade viewing.

Even at 2:00 PM, there was no space in the seated area.
We ended up in a spot the staff said would be hard to see from…
We managed to snag a spot in this area—it’s right in front of Entertainment Hall (No. 2).”

and they were right (lol).
Very narrow view.

- 3:45–5:04: Lady Kitty House.
Kogame loves this place and could stay forever.
He was dancing in the first room with the piano.
I was worried we were annoying the staff, but a staff member approached and gave us a handwritten Cinnamoroll card!

I was so moved ( ;∀;)

I remembered this staff member from Christmas Eve too—he’s very popular!
- 5:20: Bathroom break & Waiting for the Birthday Live.
- 5:50: Cinnamoroll’s Birthday Live starts!
- 6:55: Exit. Taking photos in an empty Puroland.
- 7:31: Tried to go to Sushiro near Puroland
But it was a 1-hour wait. Had to just get on the train.

I always become a “dinner refugee” after Puroland. If you know a good place for a 5-year-old near the station, let me know!
Cinnamoroll’s Birthday Live (March 7th) Review
My friend won the seat in the lottery (I lost).
The seats were assigned upon winning.
It was in the very last row of the Märchen Theater.
90% adults, 10% kids.
Kogame was likely the youngest.

Since everyone has to pay for a ticket regardless of age, it’s a high hurdle for kids.
I expected people in full blue lolita dresses with Cinnamoroll plushies sewn on, and while there were a few, most people just had a subtle “Cinnamon touch” to their normal clothes.
It felt like a fair lottery.

Schedule:Cinnamoroll Birthday Live
- Opening Talk: Two hosts and a puppet named Party Master.
- Song & Dance: Cinnamoroll sang “Happy Birthday to Me~”. Only Cinnamoroll can make “Everyone celebrate me!” look cute. (lol). It gave me energy.

- Cinnamoroll’s Challenge / Manzai (Comedy): It was titled “Manzai,” but it felt more like watching your own kid at a kindergarten recital. We weren’t laughing out loud; we were just warmly watching him work so hard for us. I was strangely moved.

- “Aiko de Sho” (Matching Game): The goal was to do the same hand sign as Cinnamoroll to “match feelings.” I thought the winner might get a hug, but no (lol). It’s just for fun. Since I matched him immediately, I had to sit down, and then I couldn’t see the stage because of the adults standing in front. Staff eventually brought a booster seat for Kogame, which was great.

- Announcements: Event and merch news (the Sunshine City event I went to last week).

- Photo Time: Featuring guests Cappuccino and Espresso. They posed in three directions. Watching them play together on stage was adorable.

- Song & Dance Stage: KAWAII. But my iPhone settings were bad, so Cinnamoroll was just a white blur in every photo (lol).

- The Celebration: We swung our “gift towels” like a Shonan no Kaze concert. A bit fast for a 5-year-old, but we did it together.

- The Send-off: Hand-written messages from Cinnamoroll appeared on the screen (resembling a child’s handwriting—so moving).

As the back row, we were called first to exit.
Cinnamoroll was waiting!
Kogame ran to him, but the staff were quite firm about “Please don’t stop moving, big brother!” I wish they were a bit softer with the kids, but I get the rules.

Summary
My first Birthday Live!
It wasn’t about screaming; everyone was quietly pointing their phones at the stage.

It cost 7,000 yen x 2 people for 1 hour.
Part of me thinks, “For that price, maybe a bit more interaction?” but then again, I got so much emotion out of it…
If Kogame says he wants to go next year, I’ll probably say “Let’s go!” (lol).
I’m seriously considering a seasonal pass now… Oshikatsu is fun!! (゜▽゜)
